Job Description
MVTL currently has an opening for a Laboratory Technician to work primarily in the Microbiology Laboratory while seasonally working in the Soil Laboratory. Microbiology Laboratory responsibilities include ensuring safe food supply by preparing samples for testing by diluting or enriching samples for bacterial growth. Analyzing samples for bacterial growth by either instrumentation or observation of growth on various types of media. Soil Laboratory responsibilities include preparing and performing nutrient analysis on soil samples. Test results are then documented into the Laboratory Information System. Bachelor's degree or at a minimum an A.A.S. degree in biology, chemistry, microbiology or agricultural science.
