Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Evaluate specimens for testing acceptability according to established criteria. Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in accordance with established SOPs and quality standards. Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure accurate and reliable performance. Apply technical judgment to testing procedures, result interpretation, and troubleshooting. Prepare, evaluate, and test reagents and quality control materials. Generate and report accurate, timely test results to support quality patient care. Perform and document instrument maintenance and quality control procedures. Monitor and replenish laboratory supplies and assist with specimen processing as needed. Maintain a safe, compliant laboratory environment and utilize appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related field, or meet applicable CLIA and state regulatory requirements. 1-2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience required. State Medical Technician license, if required by applicable regulations. ASCP or AMT certification preferred or required, depending on position requirements. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency with computers; familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) preferred. Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to pass a standardized color vision screening. Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts based on operational needs.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
