This position is responsible for preparing and testing consumer products, and related samples using established laboratory procedures and analytical testing methods. The ideal candidate will have a degree or coursework in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field and strong attention to detail. Experience working in a laboratory, manufacturing quality environment, or analytical testing facility is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Receive, identify, label, log, and prepare product samples for laboratory testing. Perform routine chemical and physical analyses according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Prepare samples, reagents, standards, solutions, and laboratory materials. Perform accurate weighing, pipetting, dilution, extraction, filtration, and other laboratory preparation techniques. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Assist with analytical testing related to nicotine, moisture, pH, composition, and other chemical properties . Follow established testing methods, specifications, quality standards, and laboratory procedures. Accurately document test results, calculations, observations, and sample information. Enter laboratory data into electronic databases, spreadsheets, or Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Review results for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established specifications. Identify unusual results, testing discrepancies, or equipment issues and notify appropriate laboratory personnel. Perform routine instrument checks, calibrations, and maintenance as required. Maintain organized laboratory work areas and ensure equipment and supplies are properly stored. Prepare and handle chemical reagents and laboratory materials in accordance with applicable safety procedures. Follow laboratory safety, chemical hygiene, PPE, and waste-disposal requirements. Assist with quality-control activities, method validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records to support laboratory traceability and regulatory or customer requirements. Work collaboratively with chemists, laboratory analysts, quality personnel, and other departments. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline preferred. Laboratory experience involving chemical testing, sample preparation, or analytical procedures preferred. Strong understanding of basic chemistry principles, laboratory calculations, and chemical handling. Experience with laboratory instrumentation and analytical testing equipment is a plus. Experience with HPLC, GC, GC-MS, UV-Vis, or other analytical instrumentation is highly desirable. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Ability to accurately follow written SOPs and detailed testing procedures. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a laboratory team. Ability to prioritize multiple samples and laboratory tasks while maintaining accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
