8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 8-hour day shift Depending on workload and business needs, the position may require: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12-hour day shifts Occasional 12-hour night-shift coverage after successful training Flexible availability is preferred Job Summary Client is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support its Quality Control Laboratory and Sample Department. The position will primarily perform routine laboratory testing, sample preparation, documentation, and general laboratory support. The ideal candidate will have previous laboratory or quality control experience, strong attention to detail, good computer skills, and the ability to work independently after training. Responsibilities Perform routine quality control testing and inspections Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments Collect, label, prepare, organize, and ship samples Support sample shipping and receiving activities Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation Follow laboratory procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements Assist with calibration and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment Report out-of-specification or non-conforming results to supervision Assist with sample tracking and inventory management Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment Support the Product Development Lab and Sample Department as needed Assist with relief coverage for Plant Quality Control personnel Follow all Responsible Care® and plant safety requirements Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 1 year of experience in a chemical and/or analytical laboratory College coursework in science may reduce the required work experience Laboratory or Quality Control experience preferred Ability to follow written instructions and maintain laboratory records Ability to work independently after training Ability to multitask in a manufacturing/laboratory environment Preferred Skills Experience with any of the following is a plus:
