Job Description:
The Quality Control (QC) Technician is expected to monitor and document the production process within the Infusion department. He/she must follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to complete all assigned tasks. The QC Technician must be able to meet a high standard of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This position requires mutual respect, active communication and collaborative teamwork. Department Specific Responsibilities Calibrate analytical instruments on a scheduled basis Use analytical instruments to obtain o Brix values using refractometers o Temperature values using thermometers o Titratable acid values using pH meters o Weight of fruit samples using weighing scales Visually inspect any material rejected by the optical sorter Record observations on forms o Physical format - respective MF 14XX forms o Digital format - Infusion Turns Log (data entry) Assist in the grading of fruits General QC Technician Responsibilities Conduct daily inspection and record observations on cGMP Infusion Checklist Perform pre-operational sanitation verification using ATP swabs and ATP reader Submit work orders for food safety related maintenance issue Initiate Hold for non-conforming items Assist in the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) by swabbing areas in Infusion Assist in the training of new team members Report any issues or unusual observations to the QC Lead Maintain good housekeeping practices Perform other quality-related duties as assigned by QC Lead or Quality management
