We are comprised of 10 pathologists who, with the help of talented laboratory employees, provide comprehensive medical diagnostic services to hospitals and surgery centers as well as primary care and specialist clinics throughout the Rogue Valley region. We are currently seeking qualified applicants to fill our Lab Assistant I/Lab Assistant II position:

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:

Responsible for accessioning surgical and cytology specimens, maintaining productive workflow, preparing cassettes for pathologists' assistants, distribution of slides, assisting laboratory personnel, equipment maintenance, variety of laboratory tasks Ensures laboratory area is in proper state of readiness and cleanliness Performs with a minimum of errors - works neatly and with accuracy regardless of volume of work Must work well as a member of a team and interact with coworkers and superiors with kind and respectful communication Capable of performing a variety of tasks within the scope of job duties and adherence to CAP and CLIA regulations

Required Qualifications:

Experience with Microsoft programs and general computer knowledge Laboratory or medical experience preferred Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Must be comfortable working with and around chemicals and must follow all safety protocols Lab Assistant II requires biology and chemistry coursework and a minimum of an associates degree in a biological science

$19.50 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
