A Clinical Laboratory Technician, in a clinical laboratory setting, helps with the performance of laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology laboratories, which provide information for medical patient diagnosis and treatment. Sets up, operates, and maintains laboratory equipment, makes observations, and calculates and records results; receives, types, tests, and records blood bank inventories.
Scheduled Monday to Friday 5:30am to 2pm. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic research and development team. Duties Prepare and analyze samples using advanced laboratory techniques such as microbiology, histology, molecular biology, and cell culture methods. Operate and maintain laboratory instruments with precision, ensuring calibration and proper functioning. Follow strict laboratory procedures and standard operating protocols (SOPs) to ensure compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and FDA regulations. Conduct quality control assessments to verify the accuracy and reliability of experimental results. Maintain comprehensive laboratory records, including detailed data collection, analysis documentation, and inventory management. Handle chemical substances safely by adhering to chemical handling safety procedures and sterile laboratory techniques. Support microbiological testing, molecular biology research, and other scientific investigations in accordance with research objectives. Assist in the development and validation of laboratory methods and techniques for research projects. Ensure laboratory safety standards are upheld at all times through proper waste disposal, safety equipment maintenance, and hazard identification. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research & development efforts and contribute to scientific publications or reports. Qualifications Proven experience working in an industrial or clinical laboratory setting with familiarity in GLP, CGMP, or FDA-regulated environments. Strong knowledge of animal physiology, veterinary terminology, microbiology, histology, molecular biology techniques, and cell culture methodologies. Proficiency in using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and Microsoft Office applications for data entry and report generation. Demonstrated ability to perform laboratory research with precision while adhering to safety standards. Excellent analysis skills with a keen eye for detail in record keeping and data interpretation. Experience operating various laboratory instruments such as microscopes, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, pipettes, and incubators. Knowledge of laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs), sterile techniques, chemical handling safety procedures, and laboratory compliance requirements. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Educational background in biological sciences or related fields; degrees or certifications in microbiology, molecular biology, or veterinary sciences are preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team while maintaining high standards of scientific integrity.
