Job Description

As a member of our Repairs & Maintenance team, you are essential to the preservation and functionality of our resort. You will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency. This role requires a proactive individual who can balance technical repair tasks with routine preventative maintenance to provide a seamless experience for our guests and staff. Core Responsibilities Facility Repairs & Upkeep Assignment of work to staff members and verification of completion Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to identify necessary repairs or replacements. Execute general repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and furniture upkeep. Respond promptly to maintenance work orders to ensure guest satisfaction and uninterrupted resort operations. Implement and assist in the systematic preventative maintenance program for all facility assets. Maintain accurate records of all completed repairs and manage an inventory of essential maintenance supplies. Escalate major repair needs to management and coordinate taking rooms out of service when necessary for safety or restoration. Undertake special property projects and additional duties as assigned by the General Manager or Supervisor. Equipment Maintenance Execute preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC systems, boilers, kitchen appliances, and laundry equipment Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and tools used by various resort departments Maintain accurate logs of all repairs and maintenance activities performed on major equipment Grounds & Exterior Upkeep Maintain resort grounds including landscaping, debris removal, and seasonal tasks such as snow removal or pool maintenance Ensure exterior lighting, walkways, and parking areas are safe and well-maintained Assist with set-up and break-down for outdoor events and special property projects Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and move heavy equipment or furniture as needed Frequent standing, walking, climbing ladders, crawling, and working in confined spaces Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions and environments Qualifications High school diploma or technical certification in a related trade 3+ years of general maintenance experience, preferably in a hospitality or commercial setting Fluency in English and Spanish is required Valid driver's license and ability to operate maintenance vehicles and power tools safely Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and on-call for emergencies
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
