GENERAL OVERVIEW

The mobility technician will collaborate with nursing leadership, rehab services, quality, patient care technicians, physicians, and therapists.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate and facilitate early mobility interventions (40%) Assist staff with mobilizing complex and high risk patients (20%) Updates patient EMR as directed

• including white boards (10%) Educate staff regarding safe patient handling equipment and mobility tool (10%) Serve as an active member of the mobility and fall team (10%) Monitor mobility metrics and lead performance improvement initiatives (10%) Other duties as assigned or requested.

Q UALIFICATIONS

Required High School/GED CPR

• American Heart Association Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate Preferred Acute patient care

SKILLS:

Safe transferring of patients Mobilize patients Education to staff on documentation Education to staff on equipment Documentation of mobilization

Must be flexible to work 8 hour days/evenings with fair share weekends and holidays.
