Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our dynamic optical laboratory team. The Laboratory Technician will complete routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of the food safety, quality, and operational teams. This role involves conducting quantitative and qualitative inspections on raw materials and final products, monitoring instrumentation performance, and documenting results accurately while ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations and procedural guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Analytical Testing:
Conduct routine quantitative and qualitative inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process, and final products independently.
Instrumentation & Maintenance:
Run daily calibration checks, perform preventive maintenance tasks, and execute simple repairs on analytical instrumentation.
Documentation & Reporting:
Interpret and document test results into active databases, maintain customer specification books, and write routine reports and correspondence.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure adherence to compliance programs, safety regulations, and procedural food safety guidelines, while helping to improve the overall food safety and quality culture.
MUST HAVE
Experience conducting routine quantitative and qualitative analytical testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished products Capable of running daily calibration checks, performing preventive maintenance, and executing simple repairs on lab instrumentation Strong understanding of food/feed safety regulations, procedural compliance, and quality culture Proficient in interpreting test results and documenting them accurately into active databases Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Capable of writing routine reports and communicating test results to internal operational teams Able to handle routine tasks independently while knowing when to escalate complex issues to appropriate supervisors
Shift Timing:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST Weekly schedule: M-F CH1
Pay:
$22.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analytical testing on raw materials and finished products?
