Under the general supervision of the laboratory supervisor, the Lab Assistant II processes and handles specimens for testing in multiple Clinical and Anatomic areas of the laboratory. Position:

Laboratory Assistant II- Day Shift 40 hours/week

Hours:

Mon thru Fri 645a-515p and weekend 7a-12p or 7a- 330p.

Experience:

2+ years laboratory experience required. Proficiency in 2 different areas of the lab strongly preferred. 1 year experience with infant collections

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent, certification as a medical assistant or related field preferred, moderate knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal, written, computer and clerical skills.

Licensures/Certifications:

Maintains certification in the Packaging and Shipping of Hazardous Goods. If MA, certification preferred
