Responsibilities include following established procedures to obtain accurate results, managing multiple workflows efficiently, handling specimens properly, confirming identification, and using accessioning procedures. The role involves instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, quality control, replenishing supplies, and adhering to reporting protocols. Additional duties encompass navigating computer applications, assisting in training new staff, and participating in ongoing educational activities. Successful candidates must complete competency exams and demonstrate proficiency in laboratory procedures. Qualifications include an associate degree in a laboratory science and certification or eligibility as an MLT. Military experience in related medical specialties is welcomed.
