Temporary Staff Pay Rate HOURS:

7:30 am - 10:30am, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the ECD-Early Childhood Dev department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following. The person in this position is expected to work independently, maintain office hours, perform administrative tasks related to this position, supervise lab students, and work as a member of the department team (ECD and CDC). Travel to satellite campuses or off-site labs as required. Hold lab orientation for lab students; Insure required student paperwork is on file; Coordinate with faculty teaching lecture portion of lab course; Meet with students prior to each lab; Work with faculty to keep lab manual updated; Work with CDC staff and staff at other centers/schools to provide high quality experience for students; Other lab duties as assigned by department head. Provide regular evaluation and feedback for students; relate student evaluation activities to objectives; grade students in accordance with policy published in course syllabus; Advertise and maintain office hours; maintain records of grades, attendance, etc.; submit final grade reports within the stated deadline. Remain current on theories and practices related to subject field; gain familiarity with varied teaching strategies; exhibit effective oral and written skills; maintain professional relationship with students and colleagues; participate in college-sponsored staff development activities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associate's degree in early care and education or related field plus three (3) years' work experience in an early care setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related educational field. Prior experience teaching young children. Prior experience supervising others.
