Scope:

The Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for performing chemical, physical, and analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, intermediates, and finished products to ensure compliance with established specifications and customer requirements. The role supports safe manufacturing operations through accurate testing, laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, documentation, and continuous quality improvement activities. This position is on the night shift(2:30AM-11AM).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Monitor manufacturing processes through in-process testing and provide timely feedback to Production personnel.
• Operate laboratory equipment such as pH meters, viscometers, moisture analyzers, balances, titration systems, spectrophotometers, FTIR, GC-FID, ion chromatography analyzer or other analytical instruments, as applicable.
• Perform routine calibration, verification, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Prepare standard solutions, reagents, and testing materials according to documented procedures.
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and quality reports as required.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety practices, PPE requirements, chemical handling procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Perform other functions and responsibilities as requested.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Associate degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing plant or laboratory environment preferred.
• Experience operating and interpreting data from

GC-FID, IC

Analyzer, and FTIR.

• Knowledge of laboratory testing techniques, analytical chemistry, and quality systems.
• Must be well organized and highly motivated.
• Ability to maintain focus and accuracy in a complex laboratory environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry
• Over three-years of experience in a chemical manufacturing laboratory preferred.
