We are hiring an additional Quality Control Lab Technician to perform lab tests to help evaluate our seeds, sprouts, and powders, and to perform environmental swabbing and testing. We collect and test plant material and spent irrigation water in our indoor food production facility. Our ideal Quality Control Lab Tech candidate will have a degree in microbiology and experience in aseptic sample collection and lab techniques and performing routine sample analysis. A candidate should also have experience in Microsoft Office and Excel for documenting test results and other data entry. This is a part-time position working 18-24 hours each week. We are evaluating becoming a certified lab and a well-qualified candidate will help with that project. The regular work schedule for this Quality Control Lab Technician is Wednesday thru Sunday but may include an additional days if needed for full coverage. The job requires standing for periods while performing and reading tests, walking in production areas that have wet floors, and occasionally lifting up to 50lb boxes of seed or materials.
