Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM Job Overview We are seeking a Quality Control Lab Assistant to support laboratory operations at the CSL Plasma Knoxville Lab. The selected candidate will assist with sample preparation, specimen handling, laboratory testing support, inventory tracking, and maintaining a safe and compliant laboratory environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with the receipt and preparation of samples for testing. Support front-end automation and the refrigerated and frozen storage/archive of samples. Use computerized reports to retrieve and reconcile archived samples for additional testing. Receive specimens and laboratory supplies and process information received from collection centers. Handle and track donor samples from receipt through final testing. Properly dispose of samples in designated biohazard containers after testing. Assist professional/certified laboratory personnel with various laboratory testing activities. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation within the assigned department. Use the laboratory's computerized inventory management system to locate, track, and determine the testing status of samples. May handle positive samples as required. Monitor laboratory supply inventory levels and notify the supervisor when additional supplies are needed. Follow cGMP guidelines, laboratory procedures, HSE policies, safety regulations, and applicable regulatory standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment. Participate in continuing education and perform other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous laboratory-related experience is preferred. Interview Process 1 or 2 rounds of onsite interviews with a tour of the laboratory.

First interview:

Hiring Manager, approximately 30-45 minutes.

Second interview:

Assistant Manager, approximately 30-45 minutes, if applicable. Candidates should be prepared for the lab tour by wearing long pants and closed-toe shoes. Important Information This is a 100% onsite position. No driving is required. First-day orientation is typically 10:00 AM-12:00 PM. Workers will be dismissed after orientation and return for their assigned shift start time/day. Laboratory dress code and safety guidelines must be followed while onsite. The position involves working in a laboratory environment and following applicable safety, HSE, cGMP, and regulatory requirements.
