Test Lab Technician Southern Impact Research Center Rockford, TN Job Details Full-time $21 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Paid training Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off On-the-job training 401(k) matching Qualifications Microsoft Office High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Cleaning Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Southern Impact Research Center tests sporting equipment for many of the major manufacturers and several of the leagues including Major League Baseball, NFL, NCAA and some government agencies and we are looking for a lab tech to assist with this testing. This is an hourly position reporting to the lab supervisor. Pay is $15.00/hr to start and will rise to $21/hr upon satisfactory completion of trial & training period. There is an annual bonus based on company performance that will add approximately $2-3/hr. We offer a company match IRA plan and medical & dental benefits. The lab technician is responsible for preparing the helmet samples for testing and then testing them to the applicable standards using our drop rig, pneumatic cannon, pneumatic ram & associated equipment. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: Receiving, marking/labeling and preparing samples for testing, Performing physical tests to pre-determined standards, recording test results, discussing results with staff & customers as needed, organizing & storing product/samples, cleaning & maintaining lab & lab equipment, maintaining & updating test records & daily work logs, staying current on applicable standards, additional responsibilities as requested by lab supervisor
Note:
we are a mechanical lab. Not a clinical/white coat lab. Qualifications High school degree or GED. Strongly preferred skills include; mechanical skill/experience, electronics training/skill or equivalent experience, troubleshooting experience, MS Office. A positive attitude & team focus are a must. Must be detail oriented.
