Junior Lab Analyst Location:
Thompson, TN 37179
Job Type:
Contract - 3 Months, Possible Extension Job Summary We are seeking a Junior Lab Analyst to support laboratory testing, scientific research, and quality control activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on laboratory experience with biological and chemical analysis, sample preparation, PCR, plating methods, and laboratory documentation. Responsibilities Collect, prepare, and test laboratory samples. Perform biological and chemical analyses according to established procedures. Conduct laboratory experiments and accurately document results. Perform PCR testing, culture plating, and anaerobic plating. Use Petrifilm and other microbiological testing methods. Follow aseptic techniques and cross-contamination prevention procedures. Maintain accurate laboratory records using Excel, Word, ELN, and LIMS . Prepare reports documenting test results, observations, and conclusions. Perform routine laboratory equipment maintenance and safety checks. Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment as needed. Follow laboratory safety, chemical handling, and biological risk-control procedures. Support compliance with
ISO 17025
quality standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field . 2-3 years of laboratory experience . Hands-on experience with PCR technologies . Knowledge of
ISO 17025
laboratory standards. Experience with Petrifilm, culture plating, and anaerobic plating methods . Knowledge of aseptic techniques and contamination control. Experience with ELN and LIMS systems. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment. Knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical management. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
