Job Description

5-Month Contract | $30-$35/Hour | Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM We're seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) to join a clinical laboratory team on a 5-month contract. This role is ideal for a skilled laboratory professional who can work independently, operate multiple analyzers, troubleshoot equipment, and manage time-sensitive specimens in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform routine laboratory testing across Chemistry, Immunoassay, Hematology, and Semen Analysis. Conduct testing including CMPs, DMPs, PSA, hormone/testosterone testing, CBCs, and full semen analysis including motility and morphology. Accession, receive, and check in courier-delivered specimens while verifying order accuracy. Print specimen barcodes and complete order corrections or deletions within the LIS/EHR. Operate automated chemistry, immunoassay, and hematology analyzers. Perform routine instrument maintenance, calibration, and independent troubleshooting. Review and release results to the EHR for provider review, ensuring timely turnaround for time-sensitive testing. Prioritize time-sensitive specimens to maintain sample integrity and prevent unnecessary patient recollections. Collaborate with the laboratory supervisor and team to manage afternoon courier drop-offs and maintain an efficient end-of-day workflow. Requirements MT or MLT certification required. At least 3 years of clinical laboratory experience in a reference or clinical laboratory setting. Ability to independently operate laboratory equipment and troubleshoot analyzer issues. Proficiency with automated chemistry, immunoassay, and hematology analyzers. Experience with LIS and EHR systems. Experience with LADAC or Veradigm is a plus. Entry-level candidates will not be considered due to the need for immediate independent operation. Must be willing to learn specialized manual and automated testing procedures. Training will be provided. Preferred Experience with Paradigm EMR. Schedule Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM Must be flexible to stay until 6:00 PM for courier pickups.
