A Sleep Laboratory Technician, also known as a polysomnographic technician, performs tests and collects data on patients with sleep disorders. Responsible for giving patients explanations of the impending sleep tests and procedures, preparing equipment for the procedures, recording activities and analyzing results - all while working under the advisement of a clinical director and/or sleep technologist.

Job Description

A Sleep Technologist (Sleep Tech) performs diagnostic sleep studies, monitors patients during testing, and helps physicians diagnose and treat sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and restless leg syndrome. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work overnight shifts Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clinic locations Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Verify physician orders and testing protocols Prepare the sleep study room and equipment Explain procedures and orient patients Apply electrodes and monitoring sensors Perform routine PAP mask fittings Monitor patients and collect accurate sleep study data Complete and verify documentation Follow clinical protocols and safety standards Assist patients throughout the sleep study
Schedule Night Shift:
7:30 PM - 5:30 AM Travel required Please apply only if you meet the minimum qualifications listed above.
