is currently seeking recent Chemistry graduates for several assignments at our client facilities within the greater Houston area. Job specific details will vary by client location but typical shift is 12hr rotating schedule and the pay range is $25-28/hr. Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a science-related field required (16 hrs college chemistry)•No Masters or PhD candidates will be considered. Academic experience with wet chemistry methods and instrumental analysis Any industrial lab analysis experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine testing to determine and report the final product quality status to manufacturing Accurately input all data into the LIMS system and record test results in a legible manner in designated logbooks. Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment. Perform periodic preventative maintenance of all Laboratory equipment. Be able to troubleshoot equipment to identify and/or correct the source of the problem. Conduct job tasks in a professional manner utilizing good housekeeping practices and laboratory technique. Accurately review and generate customer COAs. Retain all finished samples and maintain retain storage in an orderly condition. Job Skill Strong communication and multitasking skills Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and LIMS experience preferred Identify and understand properties and hazards of chemicals Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex instructions such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and customers. Aptitude for high precision work Mechanical aptitude Basic knowledge of statistics and physical chemistry Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card.
