QC Lab Technician in Beaumont TX

Job Description

Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking a Lab Technician for a steel manufacturing company in the Beaumont, TX area. The overall responsibility of the position is to perform analyses in the Quality Control Laboratory to ensure that final products meet company and customer specifications. Responsibilities Analysis, reporting results, and releasing of final product according to quality specifications Analyses include Carbon Content, Sulfur, Hydrogen, Oil Content, Bounds and Residual Styrene (Gas Chromatography), Titration, Mooney and Delta Viscosity, and Shrinkage Basic maintenance of equipment and requesting support in case of malfunction Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform general housekeeping duties in the laboratory Perform all operations in accordance with OSHA regulations and company-specific health, safety, and environmental rules Requirements Associates / Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related technical discipline is preferred 2+ years of industry experience in a chemical / manufacturing facility Ability to work independently and make decisions based on analytical results Good written and oral communication skills Dependability and punctuality are required to be successful in this role Ability to work a day and night rotating shift schedule This is a temp to hire assignment with a rotating 12 hour day and night shift work schedule (4 on 4 off, 5-5) and a pay rate of $25 per hour.
