They may include but are not limited to performing daily lab routines, ordering supplies, monitoring inventory, and maintaining equipment service records and contracts. Duties may also include maintain records of research, laboratory stocks, inventory, and purchasing. Animal husbandry and care activities may be involved in departments that house or utilize animals, such as feeding, watering, cage cleaning, and other related tasks. Emergency Hire opportunities are limited to 130 calendar days of employment.
Required qualifications:
may vary based on assignment. Candidates with the appropriate combination of experience and skills will be considered. Previous laboratory experience demonstrating ability to follow research protocol; ability to keep an experimental laboratory notebook as instructed; working knowledge of good laboratory practices, especially safety; must have organizational skills and the ability to interact comfortably and respectfully with all individuals in a diverse multicultural environment. Some positions require employees to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working.
