POSITION

Lab Tech 1

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision of Production Manager, performs standardized testing to ensure product meets customers specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES and

EXPECTATIONS

Performs standardized quality control tests. Approves completed batches against prescribed specifications. Test samples per inspection plan Makes effective material additions as required and brings batches up to standard Maintains and documents proper quality control records. Performs general laboratory housekeeping practices. Has a general knowledge of the SAP system. Assists in general lab duties such as formula revisions, and colormatching as necessary. Has sound knowledge of finished goods product systems and their properties. COA reporting. Participates in TQM training and teams. Performs monthly reporting. Perform equipment calibrations. Assists in the work off and recovery programs of the branch. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Proper waste disposal

SAFETY:

Wear appropriate PPE at all times. Maintain a clean work area and work safely. Participate actively in all plant safety initiatives, programs and training sessions.

ISO / QUALITY MANAGEMENT / PSM INITIATIVES

Follow all standard operating procedures with respect to performance of position duties. Stays updated on all applicable procedures.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

High School graduate or equivalent with 1-2 years related experience Must possess good mathematical and analytical skills. Computer efficiency required. Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills. Strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. Candidates must have demonstrated experience with and knowledge of safety. Candidates must possess sound verbal and written communication skills.
