$2,150 - $2,200 / Weekly Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, with extensive experience in various clinical settings, including long-term care, assisted living, hospitals, and specialized care units. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing services, supporting patient recovery, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Your expertise in medical documentation, medication administration, and patient assessment will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional care to diverse populations. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments by monitoring vital signs, conducting physical examinations, and evaluating patient needs. Administer medications and injections accurately while adhering to prescribed protocols and safety standards. Assist with medical procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, venipuncture, and sterile dressing changes. Maintain detailed and accurate medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to ensure compliance with confidentiality policies. Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or those requiring hospice or palliative care. Support patients with mobility aids like Hoyer lifts and assist with activities of daily living in accordance with care plans. Collaborate effectively with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans and discharge procedures. Ensure infection control practices are followed rigorously to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Educate patients and their families on health management strategies including pain management, medication adherence, and nutrition. Requirements Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the relevant state or jurisdiction. Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), outpatient clinics, or home health settings. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for medical documentation and record keeping. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnostic evaluation and billing processes. Experience administering IV infusions, injections, catheter care, and managing ventilators or oxygen therapy when necessary. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient information at all times. Ability to work effectively with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities across various settings including memory care or behavioral health units. Excellent communication skills for caregiver interaction, patient education, and team collaboration in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care clinics.
