Job Description

Gifted Healthcare is seeking a Travel MedSurg LPN for assignments in Dothan, Alabama. In this role, you'll deliver compassionate bedside care, administer medications, monitor vitals, and support recovery for diverse adult patients on a fast-paced MedSurg unit. You'll collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans, document accurately, and educate patients and families. Responsibilities Provide direct Med Surg bedside care to adult patients in an acute care setting Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies per provider orders Monitor, document, and report changes in patient condition using EHR systems Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams on care plans Perform wound care, dressing changes, and basic procedures per facility protocol Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards at all times Adapt quickly to new units and workflows as a travel clinician Participate in shift handoffs and communicate clearly with care teams Maintain professional, compassionate interactions aligned with Gifted's values Required Skills Medical-surgical nursing LPN clinical practice Medication administration IV therapy and phlebotomy Patient assessment and monitoring Wound care and dressing changes Electronic health records (EHR) Patient and family education Infection control procedures Care coordination and teamwork
