Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic LPN/RN Treatment Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care, perform wound care and assess wounds daily, and support patient recovery across various clinical settings. Your expertise will help ensure the highest standards of patient care, safety, and comfort. Duties Perform detailed patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to develop personalized care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and immunizations. Support complex procedures such as catheterizations, suturing, wound care, and sterile techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) with precision, documenting all patient interactions and treatments in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with acute or chronic conditions such as cardiac issues, infectious diseases, or developmental disabilities. Conduct triage assessments in urgent care or emergency settings to prioritize patient needs efficiently. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication management, pain control strategies, and health coaching to promote wellness and recovery. Requirements Valid licensure as an LPN or RN with current state licensing; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Wound Care experience is preferred Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as PointClickCare Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and medication administration protocols. Experience with specialized nursing procedures like dialysis support, ventilator management, ostomy care, or neonatal resuscitation is a plus. Ability to work effectively with individuals across age groups—including pediatrics and geriatrics—and those with complex needs such as memory care or behavioral health challenges. Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration; critical thinking for emergency response situations.
