Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and conducting health assessments during detoxification and throughout residential treatment. Collaborate with the Medical Director to obtain health histories and complete medical clearances for admissions. Assess, document, and monitor patient symptoms, progress, and response to treatment. Coordinate with internal and external healthcare providers to schedule appointments and obtain medications, lab results, records, and other necessary information. Administer various medical tests, including but not limited to toxicology screenings and pregnancy tests. Ensure the medical safety and well-being of residents throughout their stay.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
Valid and unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of California. Current CPR and BLS certification Strong clinical skills and a solid understanding of medical procedures and treatments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary treatment team. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to established protocols. Great Opportunity for New Graduates! Knowledge or experience in behavioral health/addiction treatment is preferred but not required for candidates with a willingness to learn.
