Responsibilities:

Answer phone calls for general questions and clinical inquiries Request authorization from payors and follow-up with authorization. Care Coordination. Obtaining/transcribe faxed/telephone orders Help clinicians with opening notes Process Incoming/outgoing mail Assist with Medicare reporting Referring patients to INR/Wound care clinics Upload Service Agreement/NOMNC into EMR system Request for medical records Creating, faxing, or uploading fax requisitions Faxing lab results to MD and or pharmacy Order Medicare Supplies for patient Order all supplies and DMEs covered by patient's insurance Other ad-hoc projects/duties as they are assigned The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines is required. Knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel is required. Spanish speaking a plus. Two years experience with authorization request preferred.
