Yucaipa, CA Job Details PRN | Per diem $30 - $35 an hour 18 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications CPR Certification Teamwork LVN BLS Certification First aid Patient interaction Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Overview Yucaipa Valley Pediatric Living, Inc. is a pediatric Congregate Living Health Facility (CLHF) in Yucaipa, California, providing skilled nursing care to medically fragile children in a small, supportive residential setting. We are seeking compassionate, dependable Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) who enjoy working with children and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of medically fragile children and their families. Because we are a small, six-bed facility, our nurses have the opportunity to truly get to know the children they care for, understand their individual needs and routines, and become an important part of their care team. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to medically fragile pediatric residents Perform ongoing observations and report changes in condition to the RN and appropriate members of the care team Administer medications and treatments as ordered Provide tracheostomy, respiratory, enteral feeding, and other skilled nursing care within LVN scope of practice Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, intake and output, and other clinical information as indicated Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation Respond appropriately to changes in condition and emergency situations Follow infection prevention, medication safety, and facility safety practices Communicate effectively with RNs, physicians, families, caregivers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team Support each child's comfort, dignity, development, safety, and quality of life Provide care in accordance with facility policies and procedures, applicable California Title 22 requirements, and the LVN scope of practice Experience & Qualifications Current California LVN license in good standing Current BLS/CPR certification Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills Dependable, compassionate, and comfortable caring for medically complex children Pediatric, home health, subacute, tracheostomy, ventilator, G-tube, or medically complex patient experience is preferred Previous pediatric experience is preferred but not required Willingness to complete facility-specific training and education based on resident needs Join Our Team We are building our team from the ground up and are looking for nurses who want to grow with our facility, provide exceptional individualized care, and help create a supportive and positive environment for the children and families we serve.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
