Yucaipa, CA Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Full-time $19 - $22 an hour 11 hours ago Benefits Paid training Paid time off On-the-job training Paid orientation Qualifications Pre-cooking preparation Attention to detail Ability to follow instructions Meal assistance Full Job Description Overview Yucaipa Valley Pediatric Living, Inc. is a pediatric Congregate Living Health Facility (CLHF) in Yucaipa, California, providing skilled nursing and supportive care to medically fragile children in a small, residential setting. We are seeking a dependable, caring, and detail-oriented Housekeeping / Dietary Aide to help maintain a clean, safe, comfortable environment for the children who live in our facility. This combined role supports both daily housekeeping needs and meal service while working closely with our nursing and care team. Because we are a small, six-bed pediatric facility, this position plays an important part in creating a welcoming environment and supporting the health, comfort, and daily routines of our residents. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of resident bedrooms, bathrooms, common areas, kitchen, and other facility spaces Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in accordance with facility infection prevention procedures Follow appropriate cleaning, sanitation, and infection control practices Complete assigned daily, weekly, and periodic housekeeping tasks Handle and dispose of trash, soiled materials, and other waste appropriately Assist with facility laundry, including washing, drying, folding, organizing, and distributing resident linens and clothing Maintain appropriate separation and handling of clean and soiled laundry Keep housekeeping and dietary supplies organized and appropriately stocked Assist with preparing and serving meals and snacks according to established menus, resident diets, and instructions from appropriate clinical or dietary staff Assist with portioning, plating, and meal service Follow food safety, sanitation, proper food storage, and temperature-control practices Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, food preparation surfaces, and kitchen equipment Assist with receiving, organizing, and rotating food and dietary supplies Follow individualized dietary instructions, including texture modifications, allergies, restrictions, and other resident-specific needs as directed Promptly communicate concerns regarding food, supplies, cleanliness, safety, or resident needs to the appropriate staff member Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other members of the facility team Follow facility policies and procedures and applicable California Title 22, infection prevention, food safety, and workplace safety requirements Experience & Qualifications Previous housekeeping, dietary, food service, healthcare, residential care, or similar experience is preferred but not required Experience working in a healthcare or pediatric environment is a plus Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail Dependable and able to work independently while also functioning as part of a team Comfortable working around medically fragile children and medical equipment Ability to safely perform the physical duties associated with housekeeping, laundry, and food service Ability and willingness to follow infection prevention, food safety, sanitation, and facility procedures Willingness to complete required orientation, training, health screening, and other applicable employment requirements Join Our Team We are building our team from the ground up and are looking for someone who takes pride in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Pay:
