In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to residents in assisted living, memory care, and senior care settings during overnight hours. Your expertise will ensure residents receive safe medication administration, attentive monitoring, and personalized support that promotes dignity and well-being. Responsibilities Safely administer medications and treatments following prescribed protocols while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Monitor residents' vital signs, physical conditions, and overall health status during overnight shifts. Assist residents with activities of daily living such as mobility, hygiene, and feeding, including specialized care like tube feeding and catheter care. Maintain accurate medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions promptly to nursing staff or healthcare providers. Support residents with memory care needs by implementing personalized care plans for Alzheimer's and dementia patients. Ensure a safe environment by following infection control procedures and safety protocols specific to hospice, acute care, and home & community care settings. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration techniques. Experience with medical documentation systems such as EMR/EHR platforms like Epic or Cerner is advantageous. Familiarity with caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is a plus. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards related to medical records and patient information. Previous caregiving experience involving dementia or Alzheimer's care enhances your ability to provide empathetic support during overnight hours.
