Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting the well-being of a medically fragile student in a dynamic high school setting. This specialized position calls for compassion and expertise, offering a unique chance to provide 1:1 care where it makes a direct impact every week.
Position Details:
Contract duration is ongoing through June 11, with workdays scheduled exclusively on Wednesdays. Shifts run from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with early release days concluding at 12:10 PM. The assignment includes selectWednesdays:
Sept 16; Oct 7, 21, 28; Nov 11, 18; Dec 9, 16; Jan 6, 13, 27; Feb 3, 10, 24; March 31; April 7, 21, 28; May 12, 19, 26.Qualifications:
Active LPN license in Connecticut is required BLS/CPR certification (current and valid) Professional experience working with children or adolescents in school or healthcare settings (LPN/LVN or CNA background desirable) Experience or strong interest in 1:1 care for medically fragile individuals Approachable demeanor, strong communication skills, and keen attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and composure in a school environmentResponsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care and monitoring for a single student with complex health needs Collaborate closely with school staff, parents, and healthcare professionals Implement care plans directed by medical providers Respond efficiently to health emergencies and routine care requirements Accurately document observations, interventions, and student progress Work onsite in a welcoming high school environment, building a connection with your student and making each Wednesday count.
