2nd Shift Nurse (Memory Care) - Job Summary Compassionate and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Nurse responsible for providing skilled nursing care to residents in a memory care community during afternoon and evening hours. Oversees resident health and safety, administers medications and treatments, monitors changes in condition, responds to emergencies, and collaborates with caregivers, physicians, and family members. Ensures residents living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other cognitive impairments receive person-centered care that promotes dignity, comfort, and quality of life. Maintains accurate documentation, supports regulatory compliance, and provides leadership and guidance to care staff throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Assess and monitor residents' physical, mental, and behavioral status. Respond to emergencies, falls, and changes in resident conditions. Communicate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Supervise and support caregivers and nursing assistants. Ensure compliance with care plans, facility policies, and state regulations. Complete nursing documentation and shift reports accurately and timely. Promote a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for residents with memory loss.
Qualifications:
Current LPN/LVN or RN license in good standing. Experience in geriatrics, long-term care, assisted living, or memory care preferred. Strong assessment, leadership, communication, and compassionate caregiving skills. Ability to work effectively with residents experiencing dementia-related behaviors.
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
