LPN Full Job Description About Us:
Shining Stars Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) Center is a specialized facility providing skilled nursing, therapy, and educational support for medically complex children from birth through 21 years old. Our team is dedicated to creating a nurturing and therapeutic environment where every child can thrive.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The LPN will provide direct nursing care, monitor patients' health, administer medications and treatments, and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team (RNs, therapists, and educators) to ensure the highest quality of care for our children.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care and daily health monitoring. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Document patient care and maintain accurate records. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding the child's care and progress. Assist with transportation, feeding, and activities of daily living when needed. Ensure compliance with AHCA, Medicaid, and PPEC regulations.
Qualifications:
Current Florida LPN license (required). Current CPR certification (PALS preferred). Experience with pediatrics, medically fragile, or special needs children preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Compassionate, reliable, and committed to patient safety.
