Douglas Gardens CMHC is a non-profit organization providing comprehensive mental health services to the local community for over 40 years. Douglas Gardens has openings at its residential facility in North Miami Beach for part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Part-Time Schedule:

Monday-Friday 3pm-8:30pm OR Weekend - Saturday and Sunday 8am-8pm

Position Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinates self-administration of medications. Coordinate medication services and medical appointments. Teach medication management and health education groups. Assist with patient activities of daily living and other nursing support as needed. Implement the treatment plan, monitor medical problems and conditions, changes in medications, and keep accurate and concise nursing documentation. Foster a safe, respectful, and calm environment.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

Previous experience in mental health, geriatrics, or residential care preferred. Must be a graduate of an accredited LPN program/school . Current active/clear State of Florida LPN license CPR & First Aid certification required. Must be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills in the English language. Ability to work as a member of a team. Successfully complete level 2 background screening and drug screening.
