The LPN, under the guidance and supervision of the RN, shares responsibility for providing for the total patient needs. As a member of the nursing team, the LPN performs a variety of technical and skilled patient care duties, many of which were acquired through formal practical nursing education and supervised on-the-job training and experience. The LPN shares the responsibility of providing a safe and comfortable environment conducive to healing while delivering quality care. The patient population primarily served is aged 8 to geriatric.
