A Licensed Practical Nurse or Vocational Nurse provides basic medical care under the direction of registered nurses and other healthcare specialists. The tasks that they are permitted to perform vary by state, but usually include changing bandages, checking blood pressure, or helping feed patients. May work in hospitals, nursing homes, or other healthcare facilities.

Visit Rate:
$50-$60 per hour
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client assessments, supervisory visits, and training sessions.
Qualifications:
Valid RN license in the state of Georgia. Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to develop individualized care plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in computer skills, including electronic medical records systems. Current CPR/1st Aid certification.

Schedule:
Part-time, flexible schedule Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to inform care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and catheterizations. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and basic imaging procedures. Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care requirements. Manage airway support and ventilator care for critically ill patients in acute or ICU settings. Document all patient interactions meticulously within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies to optimize patient outcomes. Skills Proven experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal patients, or individuals with disabilities. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding (ICD-9/10). Skilled in IV insertion, catheter care, venipuncture, phlebotomy, and sterile techniques. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient medical documentation. Ability to perform triage assessments in urgent or emergency situations with confidence and professionalism. Excellent caregiver communication skills to effectively educate patients and families about treatment plans and health coaching.
