OhioHealth is seeking a dedicated LPN to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. Responsibilities Provide direct, hands-on nursing care within LPN scope of practice under the direction of an RN or provider Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following Ohio Health policies and procedures Monitor, record, and report patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to interventions Assist with patient assessments by collecting data and communicating changes in condition to the RN or provider Perform wound care, specimen collection, and other technical procedures appropriate to LPN licensure Document all care, medications, and patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring safe handoffs and thorough patient education reinforcement Assist with activities of daily living, mobility support, and patient comfort measures, promoting dignity and respect Collaborate with physicians, RNs, therapists, and other team members to coordinate and optimize patient care plans Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe care environment Participate in quality-improvement, safety, and educational activities as requested by leadership Demonstrate cultural humility and uphold Ohio Health's values of compassion, inclusion, and service to the community Required Skills Medication administration and dosage calculation Vital signs monitoring and patient observation Wound care and basic dressing changes Specimen collection and point-of-care testing IV therapy and venipuncture (permitted by license and training) Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation (Epic or similar) Infection prevention and control techniques Basic patient assessment data collection Patient and family education reinforcement Clinical prioritization and time management Communication with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Safe patient handling and mobility techniques Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations Basic life support and emergency response skills
