•Jackson Ridge Healthcare Center is a premier, long-term care facility, that caters to our neighbors and Jackson County area seniors, providing tailormade healthcare to families and friends that need our care. We are looking for a positive, up-beat, team player to help round out our team. Part-time shifts - day or evening - are available. At Jackson Ridge Healthcare our residents are family — and our nurses are the heartbeat of our care. You'll build deep, meaningful relationships with residents while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment that truly values your compassion and expertise.
Responsibilities:
Promote safety, dignity, and quality of life for every resident Respond to changes in resident condition and advocate for their needs Coordinate with CNAs, LPNs, RNs, physicians, therapy staff, and families Administer medications and treatments with accuracy and professionalism Provide high-quality, person-centered care to residents in a homelike environment Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public. Chart nurse's notes in an informative descriptive manner that reflects the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident's response to the care. The ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during working hours. Maintain a liaison with the residents, their families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for the residents' needs. Answer telephone and call lights when needed
Requirements/Qualifications:
Active RN or LPN License in Iowa Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred Current CPR/BLS certification (CPR certification offered bi-annually) Positive attitude, empathy, and the ability to lead by example Strong assessment and time-management skills Genuine passion for working with older adults Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Education High School Diploma/GED Experience Entry Level (0-2 years)
