Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), where your expertise will directly impact patient care and well-being. In this vital role, you will be responsible for proper dispensing of Methadone and the preparation thereof. Keeping accurate dispensing records, accurate inventory drugs account. This involves implementation of both the medical and nursing regiment under the supervision of the Medical Director, Nursing Supervisor and Unit Manager. Responsibilities Dispensing Methadone according to Physician's order, SOP, SAMHSA/CSAT, DEA, OASA Rules and Regulations and Accreditation Standards. Assess patient conditions, needs, abilities, preferences, and desired outcomes through the collection of health data and observations within 24 hours of admission and ongoing. Check all Mantoux Test and refer positive results to Board of Health facilities for abnormal findings. Provides First Aid/CPR for minor injuries or emergencies while on duty. Obtains and Maintains First Aid/CPR Emergency Services Certificate. Preparation of Methadone and labeling of take-home bottles Dispensing and recoding Methadone usage in a timely manner Weekly preparation of accounting records, medical log, and sending log to Springfield Check Security System daily for proper operations. Records incident or significant incident reports per the SOP Adheres to the Policies and Procedures of the Organization-Confidentiality, Safety, State & Federal Regulations and Accreditation Standards. Develops dignified working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, persons served and outside parties. Upholds Organization Code of Conducts/Professional Code of Ethics at all times. Experience Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse with current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 2 years in a supervised AODA clinical setting is required. Experience in Opioid Treatment, Drug Awareness, Diversity, Record Keeping and Confidentiality, Infectious Disease Control and Active Listening.
