We are seeking a compassionate and reliable On-Call Hospice Nurse to provide critical support to patients and families during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Your role is vital in ensuring comfort, dignity, and peace during life's most meaningful moments.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to on-call visits and phone triage needs after hours (weekends both day and night shifts available). Provide hands-on clinical care, including pain and symptom management, under the direction of an RN or physician. Assess changes in patient condition and communicate findings to the hospice team. Support patients and families with education, reassurance, and emotional care. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all visits, interventions, and communications.

Qualifications:

Current RN or LPN license in [KS and MO]. Minimum of 1 year clinical nursing experience; hospice or home health experience preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm in emotionally charged situations. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance. Ability to work independently and travel within the service area.

Schedule & Expectations:

Flexible on-call shifts available (weekends). Must be available to respond promptly to patient needs in the field. Collaborative team support available for consults and coordination.
