Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Special Education

High School

Start date: September 11, 2026 (with orientation days prior)

Requirements:
  • LPN License
  • Current MA licensure
  • Relevant experience with catheters, g-tubes, seizures, medication administration CPR & First Aid Certified

The MDAP program provides a highly-structured environment that emphasizes developing and strengthening students skills in adaptive living, communication, academics, self-regulation, and mobility. The program incorporates assistive technology and a multi-sensory approach to instruction designed to increase active classroom participation, academic abilities, social awareness, and independence across settings. Although much of the specialized instruction occurs within the program, students are provided with inclusive opportunities with staff support as well as community-based experiences as part of their educational program.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide student direct care and implementation of an individualized health care plan
  • Collaborate with program personnel to create the best learning environment regardless of individual's health care needs
  • Assist in implementing accommodations for physical and social emotional support
  • Assist in ambulation and transfers
  • Monitor vital signs
  • Attend meetings IEP meetings as needed
  • Administer medication in accordance with school policy/procedures.
  • Assist individual with daily living activities, e.g.: lunch, bus load, personal care, toileting
  • Document in a thorough manner

•utilizing an electronic database (SNAP experience preferred)

Perform other nursing services per job description and as assigned

Other responsibilities as directed by medical order/Director of Nursing

Reports:

Director of Nursing and/or Director of Special Education and Student Support Services

Qualifications Experience with students with physical and health disabilities

Safety Care trained preferred Salary per Attleboro Paraprofessionals Association Collective Bargaining Agreement

Salary Range:

$43,192
