Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Weekend Shift | Pediatric Residential Belchertown, MA | Contract Assignment | Weekends About the Opportunity Arbor Associates is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week contract assignment at a highly specialized pediatric residential treatment program in Belchertown, MA. This is a weekend-only position , making it an excellent fit for LPNs looking to supplement their schedule, transition between roles, or gain meaningful experience in a one-of-a-kind clinical setting. The program is the only Clinically Intensive Residential Treatment (CIRT) program in Massachusetts — and one of the most specialized pediatric behavioral health environments in New England. Joint Commission accredited, it provides 24/7 residential care to children ages 6-12 with severe emotional and behavioral challenges, rooted in trauma-informed care, sensory-based approaches, and relationship-centered practice. The clinical team includes therapists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, educators, and nursing staff working in close coordination around each child. This is meaningful, hands-on nursing work with a population that genuinely needs skilled, compassionate clinical support. Schedule Weekends only (Saturday and Sunday) Specific shift times confirmed during the screening process 13-week contract through Arbor Associates What You'll Do Administer medications and treatments per physician orders in a pediatric residential setting Monitor and document changes in each child's physical and behavioral health status Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team — including clinicians, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, and direct care staff — on individual treatment needs Provide triage and episodic nursing care as situations arise throughout the shift Support Medication Administration Program (MAP) compliance and documentation standards Communicate health observations and concerns to appropriate clinical and supervisory staff Provide guidance and support to direct care staff on health-related matters Maintain accurate, timely medical records in accordance with program and regulatory standards Why This Assignment One-of-a-kind setting — this is Massachusetts' only CIRT program for children, Joint Commission accredited, and a recognized statewide leader in trauma-informed and sensory-based care Weekend-only schedule — predictable, consistent weekend shifts with no weekday obligation Meaningful clinical work — small population, high acuity, real clinical presence in a team that values nursing as a core part of care Arbor support — you'll be placed and supported by Arbor Associates throughout the assignment, with a point of contact for any issues that arise on the job Western Massachusetts — Belchertown is centrally located in the Pioneer Valley, within easy reach of
