Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity to support student health and well-being in a dynamic educational setting near Chicopee, MA. This role is perfect for an experienced LPN or LVN with a passion for working in schools and providing care to children and adolescents. Qualifications/Experience:
Current and active LPN or LVN license in Massachusetts Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or similar healthcare environment preferred Ability to assess, monitor, and address student healthcare needs with compassion and expertise Familiarity with paraprofessional support roles in education settings Strong communication and organizational skills Capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Basic computer proficiency for maintaining accurate health records
Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed medications and treatments to students as directed by healthcare plans Provide first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illnesses occurring during school hours Collaborate with educators, parents, and allied professionals to address students individual health needs Maintain and update comprehensive health records in accordance with district and state policies Educate students and staff about health practices, hygiene, and chronic conditions management Support students with special needs, including assistance with daily living activities where necessary Participate in health screening programs, immunization tracking, and health-related school initiatives This contract position offers an engaging, varied workday in a supportive school community.
