Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) specializing in Pediatric Triage and Floor Support! In this full-time role, your primary focus will be patient triage, providing expert nursing assessments, managing pediatric patient needs, and supporting clinical operations with energy and compassion. Secondarily, you will work on the clinical floor to assist providers as needed in administering childhood immunizations. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality patient care, efficient triage processes, and smooth clinical workflows. Responsibilities Provide triage support by evaluating symptoms, prioritizing care needs, and guiding families on appropriate next steps or emergency interventions. Determine urgency of care and guide parents on home management, office appointments, or ER visits. Provide health education and clear, comforting guidance to parents and caregivers. Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols. Assist with capturing vitals, developmental milestones, rapid lab tests and clinical procedures. Document all patient interactions meticulously in EMR/EHR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies. Experience Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with current state certification. Pediatric experience highly preferred (1+ years in outpatient pediatrics or family medicine). Strong background in triage procedures is preferred Familiarity with medical terminology Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems, proficiency in electronic health records management is essential.
