Hebrew SeniorLife, a Harvard Medical School-affiliated nonprofit in Boston, seeks a compassionate Staff Nurse LPN for our RSU on day shift. In this part-time role, you'll deliver high-quality hands-on care to older adults, administer medications and treatments, and closely monitor resident conditions. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, support CNAs, and uphold safety and infection-control standards. Responsibilities Provide direct LPN nursing care to older adult residents on a rehab/RSU unit, following care plans and clinical protocols Administer medications and treatments, monitor vital signs, and document care accurately in electronic health records Support residents with daily living activities, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity at all times Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and other team members to coordinate and update individualized care plans Recognize and report changes in residents' conditions and participate in interventions to prevent complications Educate residents and families on care plans, medications, and healthy aging practices Maintain infection control, safety, and quality standards in accordance with facility policies and regulations Supervise and support nursing assistants, promoting a respectful, team-based work environment Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives Engage in ongoing professional development related to geriatric and rehabilitative nursing Required Skills Geriatric nursing Medication administration Wound care IV therapy (as permitted by scope) Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Vital signs monitoring and assessment Care planning and coordination Infection control practices Patient and family education Supervision of CNAs/support staff
