Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to evaluate health status. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following established protocols and safety standards. Assist with medical procedures such as catheterization, and sterile specimen collection while maintaining aseptic techniques. Maintain accurate medical documentation using electronic health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with diverse needs including geriatrics, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and developmental disabilities. Provide patient education on health management, medication usage, nutrition, and post-discharge care instructions. Support emergency response efforts by managing airway issues, performing CPR, and assisting in acute care situations. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current certification. Proven experience working in various healthcare settings Strong knowledge of nursing practices including vital signs assessment, medication administration (including injections and IV therapy), catheter care, and infection control protocols. Experience working with diverse patient populations such as geriatric patients, individuals with dementia or pediatrics, or neonatal units is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for caregiver interaction and client education; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Ability to handle high-pressure situations confidently while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies and safety standards.
