Job Summary Aspen Real Estate Settlements, Inc. is a well-established real estate settlement company that has proudly served clients for 25 years. We are looking for an experienced Settlement Processor to join our team in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Aspen handles residential real estate transactions throughout Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. We are seeking someone who understands the settlement process, is detail-oriented and organized, and can confidently manage multiple transactions while providing excellent service to clients, lenders, real estate agents, and other settlement professionals. Duties Manage residential real estate transactions from contract through closing and post-closing Examine abstracts/title searches and resolve any issues that may affect title Review contracts, lender documents, title documents, and other settlement-related paperwork for accuracy and completeness Coordinate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, lenders, title companies, attorneys, and other parties involved in the transaction Prepare and review Closing Disclosures, ALTA statements, settlement statements, and closing documents Communicate with clients and transaction partners throughout the settlement process Obtain and follow up on outstanding documents and information needed for closing, including state and local taxes, payoffs, HOA/PUD/condo fees, etc. Coordinate closing dates and times Review figures and transaction details to identify discrepancies or missing information Ensure files are complete and ready for closing Coordinate and complete post-closing requirements, including finalizing files and distributing required documents Maintain accurate and organized transaction files Handle multiple transactions and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail Provide professional and responsive customer service throughout the process Qualifications Prior experience as a real estate settlement processor is required Strong understanding of the residential real estate closing/settlement process Experience handling transactions in Maryland, Virginia, and/or Washington, DC is strongly preferred, but not a deal breaker Experience with Qualia is a plus Familiarity with lender requirements and closing documentation Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable communicating with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and other professionals Ability to work independently while also being part of a team Professional, dependable, and service-oriented Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
