• to provide health services and support for students receiving special education services throughout the 2026-2027 school year.
• Position Overview
• As a School Nurse/Health Associate, you will provide direct student healthcare services while working under the supervision of a licensed school nurse.

This role is ideal for compassionate nursing professionals who enjoy working with children and helping students thrive in a safe, supportive educational environment. You will be responsible for implementing student health plans, providing one-on-one care, administering medications, maintaining health records, and supporting students with specialized healthcare needs.

• Key Responsibilities
• + Provide one-to-one healthcare support to students receiving special education services + Implement and monitor emergency healthcare plans + Assist students with personal care and instructional support needs + Administer and document medications according to school policy under the supervision of a licensed school nurse + Receive and carry out verbal and written physician orders + Monitor, document, and report student health concerns to the supervising school nurse + Maintain student health records, immunization documentation, and third-party billing information + Support medical assistance reimbursement processes for personal care services + Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment + Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications •Qualifications•

Required:

• + Graduate of an accredited nursing program + Current

• LPN, LVN

  license
• in the state of practice + Current CPR certification + Current health certificate (per contract or state requirements) + PPD or chest X-ray if applicable + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age

• Preferred:

• + One year of professional nursing experience + Previous school-based, pediatric, or special education experience

• + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds + Ability to participate in two-to-three-person lifts involving adult-size body weight when necessary + Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and lean throughout the workday
